Rice Wine Recipe - How To Make Homemade Rice Wine
December 22, 2014
Rice wine recipe, homemade rice wine for Christmas. Making wine at home brings in a festive mood, though I do make wine at home often I have not posted other than the pineapple peel wine. Rice wine is easy to make and even a novice cook can make this easy homemade wine.
Rice wine was the first wine I attempted to make after our marriage and it was so perfect that I was so happy with the result. You do not need any fancy expensive rice for this wine; just simple plain white rice is needed.
The other main ingredient is the black raisin with seeds (the one in the picture). I do not know why, but this wine can only be made with black raisins, not the lighter colored seedless one.
I usually use a ceramic jar or bharani to make wine, you just have to mix all the ingredients in the "bharani", so easy!
You will get about 4 bottles of wine, enjoy!
PREP TIME: 1 mins | COOK TIME: 1 mins | AUTHOR:: NISA HOMEY
INGREDIENTS
METHOD:
- Into a clean sun dried ceramin jar "bharani" add in all the ingredients and mix well.
- Keep the lid tighly closed (I wrap tightly with a cloth).
- For the next 18 days, open the jar and mix with a wooden spoon morning and evening.
- On the 19th day strain to another cleaned jar or clean and dry the same jar and pour into it and keep for another 7 days.
- Strain and pour into bottles and keep for another week and then you can start using wine.
- This wine is a bit strong and you can have homemade wine in a months time.
NOTES
- I used 200 ml measuring cup.
- Do not use basmati rice or any flavored rice, just plain ordinary white rice is perfect.
- The more you keep the wine, the more strong it becomes as it matures.

This sure brings back some memories. I dad made rice wine one year. I was too young to drink it but I remember how proud he was of his results. Thanks for this recipe. I'm going to have to make it and have a toast to my dad. Happy Holiday to you and yours!!

Turmeric Tea Mix Recipe For Weight Loss - Homemade/DIY (Golden) Turmeric Tea Mix
January 06, 2017
turmeric tea mix - diy turmeric mix to make turmeric tea or golden milk. turmeric tea for weight loss, for a flat belly, stomach bloating, and for overall health. this homemade mix is an excellent fat burner and also will boost immunity. have this on empty stomach in the morning for best results. the active ingredient in turmeric known as curcumin has powerful anti inflammatory effects and is a strong anti oxidant. curcumin is not easily absorbed by the body and that is the reason inspite of us Indians having lots of turmeric in our diet, do not get its full benefits. black pepper is the one natural ingredient that helps the curcumin to be absorbed into the body by around 2000%, wow! So, do not skip black pepper when taking turmeric. All the ingredients I used in this homemade turmeric tea mix are locally acquired and organic. curcumin/turmeric is fat soluble so it is also a good option to have a warm cup after a heavy meal. studies shows that turmeric can prevent cancer, h
